Alex Johnmeyer is the October featured artist at the gorgeous Renaissance Hotel, and you'll have the exciting opportunity to see them in person at the Opening Reception on Wednesday, October 16th, from 7-9pm! There will be live music, and Alex will have their prints for sale as well! Alex's work will be on display from October 1st through the end of the month.
It's been two years since Alex's last solo exhibition! Come see what they've been working on since then! Alex's art works are inspired by their own photography, which are either naturally occurring or created in the artist's studio. Alex then meticulously recreates the photography in either acrylic or watercolors and ink. Each of the resulting works is rich in its own story and emotional symbolism, inspired by color theory and societal iconography.

On March 9th, Artscope presents Wall Ball 2019, a live art extravaganza highlighting top St. Louis artists! One of St. Louis’ most unique arts events, Wall Ball guests witness artwork created live while enjoying a dazzling party. Guests interact with the artists-at-work, and bid on the chance to take home their favorite artwork.
All proceeds from Wall Ball benefit Artscope, helping us to create the community leaders and entrepreneurs of the future through a focus on creativity, diversity, ecology, cooperation and play.
Wall Ball 2019 tickets will be available in December, 2018. Check back for info about participating artists, food trucks, entertainment and more!
Come and celebrate the start of autumn with Green Door's many resident and guest artists! My paintings and prints are currently at Green Door during September and October. All monies raised will benefit the PAWS (Pets Are Wonderful Support) program, which helps keep pets in their fur-ever loving homes. The PAWS program provides monthly preventatives and food or for veterinary costs so our clients can utilize their financial resources for their own healthcare. Plan on joining us for this outstanding event, raise monies for PAWS, and have a ter-ruff-ic fun time!
Join us Saturday, October 13th for a chance for the community to come together to celebrate artistic talent, fresh air and everything that South Grand has to offer. Family friendly activities from 10am-5pm for you to enjoy as you explore the area, plus performances from local musicians and acts from 1-5pm! Stop by or stay all day as chalk art appears, but be sure to vote for your favorite! Artists will be making the magic happen all day, with voting open from 10am-7pm in Ritz Park.
Official judges will cast their ballots at 4pm in the age categories of 0-11, 12-17, 18+! $700 in cash prizes for judged categories and for community favorites.
Last but not least, if it rains, we’ll try for the next day – October 14!

The St. Louis Artists’ Guild is proud to host Clearly Human III, an all-media group exhibition of artwork focused on the human figure. Clearly Human is a comprehensive look at the many ways of representing the human figure, from traditional to contemporary, realistic to fanciful, beautiful to unsettling. The exhibit presents a diverse view of humanity representing subjects varying greatly in gender, age, ethnicity, and nationality. Participating artists use the figure to explore a wide variety of themes, including definitions of beauty, perceptions of history, relationships with nature, and moments of everyday life.
