I am so honored to once again be a participating artist in the Duane Reed Small Works Invitational. The exhibition will remain on view until August 22nd.

On August 15th, I will also be a featured artist at 31art gallery during their Summer Fest opening from 5-9 pm. The gallery is open on Sundays, and my work will be through November of 2025.

On August 29th, I will be a participating artist as part of Elysian Gallery's "Beyond the Rainbow" exhibition, judged by Quynn Douglas. The opening reception takes place on August 29th from 7-9 pm. As part of this, I will be giving an Artist Talk in mid September, dates TBA

I am now a resident artist at TWO St. Louis galleries! You can find my original paintings, reproductions and greeting cards at Green Door Art Gallery located at 21 North Gore, Webster Groves, and at Artisans in the Loop located at 6511 Delmar Boulevard.

Thank you to EVERYONE who came to my Artist Talk at ArtFusion on Friday evening. It meant so much to me to see so many friendly faces in the crowd.

I brought 8 different paintings (in oil, watercolor, acrylic & texture media) that represented my journey not only in life, but also the evolution of my artwork.

I may not be the most eloquent public speaker, but I was most certainly AUTHENTIC to who I am (for better or worse).

On July 24th from 5-8 pm, Duane Reed Gallery is proud to announce the long-anticipated return of the Small Works Invitational, featuring 160 works by 90 artists from the St. Louis regional area. With careers spanning from newly emerging to late-career luminaries, the show incorporates painting, sculpture, ceramic, textile, mixed media and more, each piece portrays its artist’s response to the Invitational’s signature prompt: work fitting within a 16” x 16” square. My newest, original sculptural painting, “Morning Respite” is ready for art drop off TODAY!!! I’m SO PROUD of how this one turned out.

The air-dry clay donut stands two inches tall, with each sprinkle individually shaped and finished with acrylic paint. The comics were painted with watercolor and colored pencil, while the mug, saucer, and spoon were painted in oils. 😂

Come see it in person at the Duane Reed Gallery Small Works Invitational on July 24, 5-8 pm in the STL Central West End. There will be works by over 70 artists!

My recent customer, Angela AuBuchon @aubuchonangela was SO SURPRISED when she turned on the UV lighting for her uranium glass collection to discover that I had used fluorescent paints on my painting, “Flaming-O.” It’s so nice to see my work in their new homes! I finished the comic background & can now start working on the mug, saucer & spoon in oils! I think I did a pretty good job on the comics? This is the first time I layered colored pencils on top of my watercolors for more details. Thank you to @strobel_sketches & @joanmarieart for giving me the confidence to try them out! My summer is BOOKED, and I’m excited for the fun events on the horizon! Here’s all the places you can find my work in the next few months:

Kimberlyn Renee Art and I are currently the featured artists with The Gogh-Getters at Sacred Grounds Cafe, in Edwardsville, IL. The work will stay on view until June 14th. We also recorded an episode on their podcast, which is available on all platforms.

On June 12th, my work will be featured at the City Museum’s “SEQUIN: Inside Scoop on LGBT Outsider Art” multimedia art exhibit curated by Cranky Yellow. The opening is from 7-11 pm inside Beatnik Bob’s Cafe, and will stay on view through August 9th.

On July 10th, you can find me at Goldie’s Hair+wardrobe on Sutton during Maplewood’s “Let Them Eat Art” street art festival on Friday, from 5:30 to 9:30 pm.

Also in July, I was invited again to be a participating artist in the Duane Reed Gallery Small Works Invitational on July 24th from 5-8 pm, and I will also be a featured artist at 31art gallery. I will share dates for 31 asap. :)
